Chelsea vs Arsenal LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction as Gabriel pokes Gunners to victory

43 mins: Hugo Lloris is called into action once again for Spurs after Harvey Elliott takes a snapshot from just outside the box. It’s an awkward one for the goalkeeper as the ball bounces just before him but the Frenchman manages to turn it wide of goal.

40 mins: Mistake from Eric Dier who attempts to head an aerial pass back to his own goalkeeper. Instead he gets it wrong and nods the ball to Mo Salah who carries it into the box before chipping the ball over Hugo Lloris and doubling Liverpool’s lead!

36 mins: Liverpool are just trying to take the sting out of Tottenham’s play by maintaining possession and slowly working their way up the pitch.

Ben Davies arrives late for a tackle on Harvey Elliott and leaves the midfielder sprawled on the floor awaiting some medical treatment.

33 mins: Fabinho sends a heavy pass back to Alexander-Arnold who has to contend with Perisic to get to the loose ball. The Liverpool right-back comes off worse then fouls Sessegnon as Spurs flood men up the pitch.

The Reds manage to deal with the resultant free kick though.

30 mins: Close! Liverpool work the ball over to the right side where Harvey Elliott brings it under control. He floats a cross into the box but puts it over the heads of his waiting team mates.

Spurs head the ball away but it drops to Thiago Alcantara who drills an effort from range and hits it straight at Eric Dier who blocks it.

27 mins: Konate’s having a decent game so far. Harry Kane looks to curl one into the middle as Perisic makes a splitting run in between Alexander-Arnold and Konate.

The Liverpool centre-back is aware of the danger though and just holds Perisic off long enough for the pass to skip past him and out into space.

24 mins: A long diagonal ball comes over the head of Alexander-Arnold and Sessegnon controls it with a nudge into the box. He sprints behind the Liverpool right-back and almost gets in on goal but Konate is covering and gets the ball clear.

21 mins: Tottenham have settled into the game now and are seeing more of the ball. They’re moving it well and pressing up the pitch to hurry the Liverpool defenders.

Emerson Royal swings in a cross from the right side but Alisson gets out and punches the ball away.

18 mins: There’s a very viable penalty appeal for Tottenham after Trent Alexander-Arnold loses the ball. Ryan Sessegnon makes an overlapping run into the box and is played in by Ivan Perisic.

Alexander-Arnold looks to rectify his mistake and nudges Sessegnon in the back as he collects the ball. The Tottenham defender hits the deck but a VAR check doesn’t overturn the referee’s initial decision of goal kick.

14 mins: Off the post!

It was almost an immediate response from Tottenham. A threaded pass comes up to Harry Kane who peels away from Ibrahima Konate and flicks a cross into the middle of the box.

Ivan Perisic is waiting and gets a slight touch on the ball. Alisson comes out to claim the ball but it hits him on the head and rebounds onto the nearest post before bouncing wide!
