Brighton 1-1 Sheffield United: The Seagulls drew with the Blades in a Premier League encounter
It’s now a run of six Premier League matches without a win for Brighton who were held to a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United at the Amex Community Stadium this afternoon.
The Seagulls started the match eighth in the table and looked set to collect all three points after they stuttered through October. Simon Adringa’s goal six minutes into the game gave them the early and things stayed that way until the second half. Mahmoud Dahoud was shown a red card for the hosts and sent them down to 10-men.
Sheffield United netted five minutes later through an Adam Webster own goal but couldn’t press their advantage to claim a win.

United's hunger and desire is evident as they press for what could be the winning goal. The ball breaks kindly for Thomas, but his long-range attempt is always rising.

The Blades look to work their way into the Brighton box with a neat move. But a timely intervention enables the hosts to clear their lines.

Although United have looked more dangerous, Brighton are also demonstrating their lack of interest in settling for a draw. The hosts are looking to attack whenever they can and ask questions of their opponents' defence.

CHANCE! Almost for the Blades! McAtee leads the charge as he feeds the ball into Archer, whose clever flick sets up Bogle. But the latter drags his shot wide of the left post. What a goal that would have been!

Baleba catches McAtee late and has his name taken by the referee.

Suddenly, we are all square heading into the final quarter of an hour at the Amex Stadium. Brighton appeared to be in control until Dahoud's red card, and United wasted no time in capitalising on having the extra man.

That red card has made things very interesting here. Suddenly, United have the numerical advantage and that will encourage them to push for an equaliser. Can they find it?
