Brighton host Manchester City in the Premier League hoping to put in a similar performance to their outing against Liverpool last weekend.

Although the Seagulls lost that match 2-1 they took the lead against Arne Slot’s side and made the current league leaders work hard for their victory and will hope to replicate that against Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions. Before the Liverpool game Brighton were on a three-match unbeaten run and will hope to capitalise on a weakened City side.

Guardiola’s men defeated Southampton 1-0 at the end of October but have lost their last three games. Tottenham defeated them in the Carabao Cup before Bournemouth won 2-1 in their last Premier League outing and Ruben Amorim’s Sporting CP hammered them 4-1 in the Champions League. Can they end that streak today?

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Manchester City

Brighton come from behind to clinch all three points against Manchester City after a superb second half performance. City led 1-0 at the break through Haaland and they should have been further ahead after having a number of chances, but Brighton came out fighting after the restart and dominated the second period with City failing to get up to speed. Brighton went close on a few occasions through Rutter and Joao Pedro, before finally getting their reward on 78 minutes, when Joao Pedro capitalised on some sloppy City defending to score the equaliser from close range. Then just five minutes later, O’Riley popped up on his Premier League debut to score the winning goal and make it 2-1, finishing off a lovely Brighton move. City struggled to get back into it late on and couldn’t find an equaliser to make it four defeats in a row in all competitions. This victory moves Brighton up to fourth in table, just four points behind City, who remain second and could fall five points behind Liverpool at the top if they win later on today. They’ll have time to reset during the international break and will look to get back to winning ways against Tottenham in a fortnight. Meanwhile Brighton will travel to Bournemouth. That’s all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!

CHANCE! Walker whips a cross into the box from the right and Gvardiol meets it unmarked and powers a header towards the bottom left corner of the net. However, it flies wide of the post. He should've at least got that on target.

Foden has scored more Premier League goals against Brighton than he has against any other opponent, netting eight goals in just seven starts against the Seagulls. However, Foden has failed to score in any of his seven Premier League games this term.

Good chance! Foden gets into the box down the left and drills a low shot towards the bottom right corner of the net, but it flies narrowly wide of the post.

There will be a minimum of NINE minutes of added time played at the end of the second half. That's plenty of time for City to get an equaliser. However, they don't look likely at the moment.
