Follow live coverage as Brighton & Hove Albion face Crystal Palace in the Premier League today.
Manchester City are reigning champions after beating Liverpool to the finish line in a neck-and-neck 2021/22 title race where a comeback win on the final day of the season against Aston Villa secured a fourth title in five years for Pep Guardiola's side.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds were on course for a quadruple last season but were forced to settle for just an FA Cup and Carabao Cup win and will return trying to win the title again just as they did in 2020.
It was a dramatic season for Chelsea a year ago with Roman Abramovich now replaced by Todd Boehly as owner in west London. He will want an instant return on his hefty investment at Stamford Bridge while Tottenham, back in the Champions League, will want to kick on once more too.
It's not all about the action at the top though with Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest promoted to the top tier for 2021/22 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.
We will bring you all the action and updates from today's game in the live blog below:

Palace might have a problem here as Guehi goes down holding his left ankle. It's not clear what he's done, but he requires treatment. He's quickly back on his feet, though he's moving gingerly, and he's going to carry on.

After a slow start, Brighton dominated the game, but De Zerbi was still a frustrated figure on the touchline as his side failed to capitalise on it. He'll be looking for them to put even more pressure on. Vieira will have been pleased by the start Palace made, but they struggled to make a mark after that. He'll be expecting much better after the break.

March's early goal gives Brighton a 1-0 lead over Palace at half-time. It was the Eagles that actually started better, and after going three games without a shot on target, they had three in the opening 11 minutes here, with Steele forced into some good saves. The momentum swung Brighton's way after that, with March drilling in Mitoma's wonderful throughball. Mitoma came close himself, whipping a shot just wide towards the end of the half.

Doucoure is walking a tightrope here as he catches Veltman with a late challenge here. The Brighton players are again asking for a yellow card that doesn't come, but it wouldn't be a surprise if Vieira doesn't keep him on for the second half.
