A rare Brentford break highlights how much the Bees have struggled to make an impact in the final third. Advancing from midfield, Damsgaard somehow slips clear of three challenges, but he must eventually admit defeat when left isolated against three defenders.

Following some neat one-twos between O'Riley and Joao Pedro, the ball breaks for Enciso just outside the area. His hurried shot is skewed well wide of the target, though. He's getting into some great positions, but a little more composure wouldn't go amiss.

Not only had Flekken kept his team level today, but his departure only increases Brentford's injury crisis. Valdimarsson gets an early touch as Enciso tries his luck with a slightly scuffed low shot, and he could be put to the test between now and the final whistle.

Since Wissa put the ball in the net but was then ruled offside by the VAR, Brentford have barely entered the final third. So far, the visitors have not registered a single shot, managing just one touch inside Brighton's box.

Fortunately for the Bees, Flekken has been cleared to continue, having shaken off a knock sustained when saving Mitoma's goalbound deflected cross. The action resumes, with no goals at the Amex as yet, despite Brighton having 10 attempts.

After Enciso's latest attempt sails well wide of the left-hand post, there is a moment of real concern for Brentford boss Frank, as his star man today is down on the turf nursing what appears to be a knee injury. Play comes to a halt while he receives treatment.

Flekken shows off his reflexes again, adjusting quickly to guide a deflected left-wing cross by Mitoma away from danger with his foot. It could have slipped in at the near post, but Brentford's goalkeeper once more keeps his side level.

Not for the first time, Mitoma runs directly at Brentford's back-tracking defence, before making it all the way to the edge of the area. His low cross into the six-yard box is cut out by Flekken, though.

Brighton have pulled off some big wins already this season - most notably against both Manchester clubs, Tottenham and Newcastle United - but they sometimes struggle to get the better of teams around them in the table. So far today, they've been far more threatening than Brentford, but to no avail.
