Brentford survive an early Ipswich corner, and the resulting attack after the ball was cleared. Ipswich Town have started the game very brightly, however.

Thomas Frank makes two changes from the loss away in Manchester, with Wissa a welcome addition back into the starting squad. He begins the game up front at the expense of Kevin Schade, who drops to the bench. The other change sees Roerslev start in defence, taking the place of Kristoffer Ajer. Pinnock makes his 100th Premier League appearance in this game, and Norgaard captains the side. As for Ipswich, McKenna has made six changes to his side after the 2-0 loss against Everton. This is the highest amount of changes from one match to another this season for Ipswich. Among those that have been switched, and potentially the most surprising omission is Liam Delap. He has looked great this season but drops to the bench to allow Hirst to start from the off. Two other big changes see their captain Sam Morsy and Omari Hutchinson miss out on the matchday squad, meaning that Cajuste and Chaplin come in. Chaplin also takes the armband for this match.

Kieran McKenna will be somewhat disappointed with how his side have started the campaign; they are winless so far and put up a lacklustre performance last time out against Everton. The Suffolk side have looked bright in spells early on in the season and have picked up their four points from four consecutive draws. Although it is still early in the competition, Ipswich could have done with three points in what would have been seen as a ‘winnable’ game against Everton before facing stronger opponents, like Brentford. Ipswich will view this match as a difficult one, but also as a chance to get their first win of this season.
