Arteta on north London derby: 'It's special. I really like it. I's intense'

Tottenham captain Son Heung-min’s brace earned his side a 2-2 draw at Arsenal in the Premier League as the visitors twice came from behind in an absorbing derby on Sunday.

Cristian Romero’s own goal after 26 minutes handed Arsenal the lead but Son equalised shortly before halftime as the visitors grew into the game.

Romero then conceded a penalty that was converted by Bukayo Saka in the 54th minute but Tottenham hit back almost immediately as Son punished a terrible mistake by Arsenal substitute Jorginho.

Both sides had chances to take maximum points with Son close to a hat-trick for Tottenham and Saka having a shot saved. Ten minutes of stoppage time could not separate the sides as the draw ensured both remain undefeated in the league this season with 14 points from six games.

Level it is. A frenetic first half which is hardly unusual for this fixture. A goal each as Son’s strike cancelled out Romero’s earlier own goal.

Chances at both ends, with Vicario denying Nketiah before Raya superbly kept out Johnson’s strike, and it’s all to play for after the break.

45+4 mins: Rice tries his luck from range but ballons it well over the break. Looks like we’ll be heading to the break all square.

45+1 mins: Four minutes of added time as Sarr goes into the book for a cynical foul on Jesus. Bissouma is also carded for dissent.

GOAL! Arsenal 1-1 Tottenham (Son, ‘42)

Raya can’t keep this one out! Spurs are level and it’s the captain Son. The Arsenal keeper does well to deny Johnson again, initially, but play is recycled through Maddison, who does superbly to beat Saka and get to the byline.

The England midfielder fires it low into the box and Son is on hand to sweep it in off the far post. The Emirates is silenced but what a response from Postecoglo’s side.

SAVE! Well, maybe that is why Raya is the new number one! What a superb stop from the Spaniard to deny Johnson. It’s a well-worked move from Spurs down the right and Johnson must have thought he’d scored as he diverted the cross on target.

But, somehow, Raya palms away the ball as he scampers back across to his right - it looked behind him!

37 mins: Odegaard tries his luck from range but the Arsenal captain’s strike is comfortable enough for Vicario who holds on to the strike.

Arsenal 1-0 Tottenham

32 mins: Ooh, Madison is a lucky man! The Spurs midfielder is dispossessed on the edge of his own box by Jesus, who rifles a shot over the bar. The whistle had gone for a foul but it’s another warning for Spurs who have been fortunate at times when passing the ball around the back.

30 mins: Arsenal with a spring in their step after that first goal. Vieira is afforded far too much space out on the left and clips a ball towards the far post looking for Jesus. The Brazilian is lurking with intent but Van de Ven recovers just in time to divert the ball behind for a corner.
