A great first half for Arsenal, all things considered. They’ve avoided going in level at the break, and the tension that comes with that, and have played some excellent football. They needed just one final bit of quality at the end of their attacks, but in the end their goal came from the penalty spot.
If they produce the same level of performance in the second half, the Gunners will win comfortably.
The home side had 62 per cent of possession in the end, but 15 shots to Bournemouth’s one. Only five were o target though, which is something Arteta will be keen to remedy in the second period.
