Follow live coverage as AFC Bournemouth face Everton in the Premier League today.
Manchester City are reigning champions after beating Liverpool to the finish line in a neck-and-neck 2021/22 title race where a comeback win on the final day of the season against Aston Villa secured a fourth title in five years for Pep Guardiola's side.
Jurgen Klopp's Reds were on course for a quadruple last season but were forced to settle for just an FA Cup and Carabao Cup win and will return trying to win the title again just as they did in 2020.
It was a dramatic season for Chelsea a year ago with Roman Abramovich now replaced by Todd Boehly as owner in west London. He will want an instant return on his hefty investment at Stamford Bridge while Tottenham, back in the Champions League, will want to kick on once more too.
It's not all about the action at the top though with Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest promoted to the top tier for 2021/22 and hoping to hold their own against the best English football has to offer and avoid the drop.
We will bring you all the action and updates from today's game in the live blog below:

Already down a substitution due to Mykolenko’s enforced change, Lampard will have to be effective with his remaining switches if he wishes to pull back a result. Gordon looks the most likely option off the bench, while Doucoure could provide additional height and delivery. Bournemouth will do whatever they can to prevent letting another two-goal lead slip, keeping everything in front of them. Fredericks should be introduced in the late stages, while Stacey could also replace the booked Senesi.
AFC Bournemouth vs Everton
Bournemouth take a two-goal lead into the interval at the Vitality Stadium thanks to two finishes from close range inside the opening 30 minutes. Everton failed to settle during an opening period which saw a number of injury stoppages, causing a scrappy and stop-start affair. The hosts would capitalise however, putting Pickford under pressure in the wet and windy conditions to great effect. His inability to catch Solanke’s shot allowed Tavernier to take the lead, while an assault on the penalty area lead to Moore’s close-range header to double the advantage; a goal that also saw Mykolenko taken off with an injury in the aftermath. Lampard’s side have offered precious little going forward with poor service both in open play and during set-pieces, failing to involve Maupay in the match.
