A cry of frustration from Jadeja as he fails to clear the infield with a clip to point. A good over from Anderson keeps him tied up and it’s the first maiden post-tea for England. Important to build that pressure.

Good bowling from Potts as he twice beats Jadeja’s outside edge in back-to-back deliveries. He then takes a single and Pant pounces.

Firstly he pulls the ball quite fine for FOUR and that’s also the 100 PARTNERSHIP UP between these two. The following ball also goes for FOUR as another pull races to the boundary. Incredible batting by this dynamo.

Wily old Jimmy Anderson continues in the attack. Pant reverse ramps him over the top of the slips for an audacious two! Think Joe Root in the final Test against New Zealand.

Anderson doesn’t look amused, perhaps unsurprisingly given that he’s only been reverse swept six times in Test cricket - three coming from the bat of Pant. Anderson responds with no other runs from the over though.

Potts roaring in and Pant looks like he fancies cashing in against the Durham man here. He pucnhes one for FOUR through the off side, perfectly finding the gap in the field and then bunts one down the ground that is well stopped by Stokes at mid-off.

He hooks a shorter ball but it finds Jack Leach in the deep, so just a single. Pant hobbles through the run and then feels his left hamstring - cramp perhaps?

Both of these men are capable of hitting the ball out of the park but classical cricket shots are the order of the day so far post-tea. Jadeja gets forward to drive an Anderson ball that is only slightly overpitched through the covers. That’s FOUR!

Good line and length from Anderson after that and no more runs from the over.

Matty Potts will bowl the first post-tea over for England. Pant is on strike.

First ball is aborted as Potts loses his run-up! Has more luck second time and a good first delivery as it bounces past Pant’s outside edge. Lovely response by Pant though as he drives the ball through the covers for FOUR!

Another glorious FOUR follows as he punches one through the point region. A great start to the final session of the day for India.

Nothing off the first three balls of Stokes’ over but the fourth delivery is a single and a no-ball to boot. Pant then guides the ball into the off side and although it won’t go to the boundary, India take three. Pant to 49. Another single off the last ball from Jadeja.
