Lou DiBella on a rematch
"We'll talk about that in the new year. Tonight was a great way to usher out 2018. The two best heavyweights in the world boxed tonight. There was nothing to complain about."
Lou DiBella
"When those guys embraced in the ring, that was true respect."
Lou DiBella on Anthony Joshua coming to America
"I don't give a s*** about Joshua right now."
Simples.
Deontay Wilder
"When we put our lives on the ring, we have to thank God we made it out the ring. It's life or death in there sometimes, getting hit in the head isn't cool. What an amazing fight.
"One thing I'm happy about is that this fight lived up to the hype. Many times we've seen fights promoted and they're not as good. We both did a great promotion. The fight lived up to it.
"I don't know how he got up. I don't know why they didn't start the count earlier. I started overthrowing my right, I wanted to get him out of there. Maybe he had baby oil on, he was slipping a lot."
Deontay Wilder
"I really thought I had him out of there [in the 12th round]. Everyone knows I hit hard, I saw his eyes roll to the back of his head. Only God knows how he got up. I don't make excuses, I enjoy the moment displaying my talent and going back to my family."
Deontay Wilder
"That's what it was all about, being able to whoop each other's ass and then be able to hug each other and say 'great fight'.
"The game plan was to go to the body more, but I got out of the game plan and I know that doesn't work. It's a lesson. I just wanted to get him out.
"I'm a man of few excuses, I'm very happy with the performance, the outcome. The fans win."
Shelly Finkel on a rematch
"We don't know what's going to come next. If this other promoter [Eddie Hearn] calls tomorrow, we're here. It's fine. A fight now with Fury is a stronger fight and probably more logical. That last round, I was surprised he got up. I ran to the corner, I thought it was over."
Deontay Wilder
"I really wasn't looking at the score. I thought with the two knockdowns it put me in a good position. There's still a lot of work to be done, I'm still building. Boxing fans hold high expectations these days. They can't move on from the past, we can make today better.
"You get a lot of fans that come into boxing and people who like boxing today, styles make fights. What would be so special about fights if everyone was throwing the same way?
"You want to mix this style against this style."
Deontay Wilder
"We always knew he [Fury] could box. We never took that for granted. I got out of the game plan. I knew it would be a long fight for me when I did. Tonight, I was just overshooting it to the point where I was hyper-extending my arm. I'm a fighter, I'm a warrior. I'll fight you with a broken arm, third degree burns. It was a great fight. We both go home as winners."
