Mike Tyson slaps Jake Paul on eve of seismic boxing match

Mike Tyson slapped Jake Paul in a heated final face-off for their boxing match, leading the YouTuber to say the heavyweight legend “hits like a b***h.”

Tyson, 58, will fight YouTuber Paul, 27, in Texas live on Netflix tonight in the former heavyweight champion’s first professional bout in 19 years.

And one night before that divisive fight, Tyson and Paul tipped the scales at a weigh-in, as fans in Dallas cheered the boxing great and booed the social-media star. As Paul and Tyson came face to face, the latter slapped Paul, before security separated the pair.

“Talking’s over,” Tyson told host Ariel Helwani, before refusing to explain why he hit Paul or answer more questions. Paul then said: “I didn’t even feel it. He’s angry. He’s an angry little elf. Mike Tyson, I thought that was a cute slap, buddy, but tomorrow you’re getting knocked the f*** out. I’m f***ing him up.”

Paul also screamed: “He hits like a b***, it’s personal now, he must die!” Follow the latest updates ahead of tonight’s fight below:

Now here come Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, ahead of their rematch tomorrow night.

Taylor won the first fight narrowly in 2022, in the biggest bout in women’s boxing history, retaining the undisputed lightweight belts.

This time, Taylor puts the undisputed *super*-lightweight titles on the line against Serrano, who is the unified featherweight champion.

137.4lb for Serrano. The same for Taylor.

Serrano is asked what she said to Taylor during the face-off. “I told her this is our time,” says the Puerto Rican. “This is the defining moment for all women in boxing. We worked really hard to be in this position. I couldn’t have asked for a better dance partner than Katie to showcase women’s boxing.”

Taylor: “I think this is just another huge, monumental moment for women’s boxing. Myself and Amanda are just forever grateful. Tomorrow I think is gonna be the biggest night for women’s boxing ever.” She tells her Irish compatriots: “Thank you so much guys for all the support. I’m just so grateful.”

This one should be a corker, like the first edition of this match-up.

Barrios, who fights out of Texas, will be elevated to regular champion when the first bell sounds tomorrow.

Ramos: “Tomorrow night, he’s gonna have to get through me first [before facing the big names he’s been linked to], and it’s gonna be two Mexican warriors fighting for the championship of the world. You can’t miss it.”

Barrios, on the prospect of a fight with Jaron “Boots” Ennis next year: “That’s the plan, to defend, to unify with one of the other current champions.”
