From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. WBA welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao delivered a dominant performance to earn a unanimous decision victory over Adrien Broner on Saturday in Las Vegas.

The 40-year-old Filipino multiple world champion was quicker and more accurate as he controlled each round and cruised to the triumph over Broner, 29, who fought gamely and stayed upright despite being hit with several heavy combinations.

Retired great Floyd Mayweather attended the fight, fueling speculation of a rematch against Pacquiao. Undefeated Mayweather beat Pacquiao in 2015.

Next up, Rau'shee Warren takes on Nordine Ooubaali for the WBC bantamweight world title.

These two have actually already faced one another before, meeting in the opening round of the 2012 Olympics. It was Ooubaali who came out on top that day.

RD 1:

A high-quality opening round between the two southpaws. Ooubali appears to be the stronger of the two and forces the pace, catching Warren on the ropes towards the end of the round, but Warren responds straight away with a counter of his own. This one could go either way.

RD 2:

The pair settle into a more measured feeling-out process until another frantic end as Ooubali lands a big counter which may be enough to steal a round Warren had otherwise controlled.

↵Badou Jack vs Marcus Browne is up after this one.

RD 3:

Ooubali steps up the pace in the third round, coming out fast and landing a series of left hands and right hooks on Warren who appears momentarily to have lost his range. But, then, just as the bell is about to be rung the American bangs back with a big right hand. That won't be enough to nick the round though.

RD 4:

It's another tough round to call with Ooubali remaining the aggressor but Warren catching the Moroccan on the counter.

RD 5:

Warren's trainer is trying to rouse his man but Ooubali just looks a fraction sharper in there. Warren is waiting for the Moroccan to punch and forfeiting the upper hand in the exchanges.

It's a tricky one to judge and Paulie Malignaggi is struggling to split them.
