Guy Ritchie-directed trailer for Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois is released

Daniel Dubois retained the IBF heavyweight title by knocking out former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua in the fifth round in a dominant first defense of his belt on Saturday.

Joshua had already been floored in the first and third rounds of a surprisingly one-sided fight at Wembley Stadium before falling face first after a straight right hand by Dubois. The referee waved off the all-British fight just as Joshua‘s corner threw in the towel.

Dubois roared “Are you not entertained?” to a record post-war boxing crowd in Britain of over 98,000 fans in his first words after the fight.

“This is my time, my redemption story,” said Dubois, who became IBF champion after the belt was vacated by Oleksandr Usyk in June. “I’m not going to stop until I reach my full potential.

Relive all the action from Joshua vs Dubois and catch up on the undercard below:

Joshua vs Dubois LIVE: Anthony Cacace and Josh Warrington walk to the ring

The atmosphere has just gone up a level here at Wembley, where we’re witnessing Josh Warrington make his ring walk.

Marching on Together rings around Wembley Stadium as the Leeds Warrior makes his way to the ring.

A glorious evening in London and even just under four hours from the first bell in Joshua v Dubois, you can sense a tension in the air. We’ve already had two very close fights and those who have arrived early have been glued to every punch thrown.

Now the Irish come to life... Anthony Cacace’s turn, to the tune of Zombie by The Cranberries, this should be a cracker.

Joshua vs Dubois LIVE: Josh Kelly vs Ishmael Davis

Round 11

Kelly really in his own at the moment and is landing some beautiful shots.

Davis is finding success with the odd counter, as he did with just under 40 seconds to go. However, as has been the issue throughout the fight, he isn’t sufficiently following up and making his moments count.

Round 12

Final round. Davis surely needs a knockout to stop Kelly’s hand from being raised.

He has to leave it all the ring and he starts on the front foot. A lovely left-right combination has Kelly rocked.

Kelly is a wounded warrior with a cut opening up on the bridge of the nose and the alarm bells are suddenly ringing. He’s hit once again with a stiff left hook.

It’s survival time for Kelly who is locking up - something he doesn’t like to do. Davis is throwing absolutely everything into this final round up until the final seconds, but Kelly makes it to the bell.

The judges scorecards will be required.

Josh Kelly def. Ishmael Davis by majority decision (115-113, 115-114, 114-114)

Just about for Kelly, who may still feel harshly done by the judges. Nevertheless, given the circumstances surrounding the fight, Davis’ stock will undoubtedly go up in defeat.

Joshua vs Dubois LIVE: Mark Chamberlain vs Josh Padley

Round nine

Bad to worse for Chamberlain as he suffers a points deduction midway through the ninth. It seems to anger him and he immediately takes out his frustrating on his opponent, connecting with a couple decent shots - but Padley is standing strong.

Padley beautifully slips a jab to see out the penultimate round. Three more minutes.

Round ten

You have to think Chamberlain needs at least a knockdown here to spare his blushes as his biggest fan sits on at ringside.

Chamberlain is throwing everything Padley’s way but is being further frustrated by his fluids as his cut reopens and blood drips into his eye.

The bell rings and both men have their hands in the air. That said, Padley’s corner are celebrating considerably more than Chamberlain’s.

What a start to the night. We go to a decision...

Josh Padley def. Mark Chamberlain by unanimous decision (95-93, 96-92, 96-92)

The man who plies his trade in construction by day has just handed one of Britain’s most highly-touted boxing prospects his first ever defeat - and he’s done it at Wembley Stadium. The stuff dreams are made of.

Pre-fight talk from Dubois

Daniel Dubois stopped by Sky Sports in the build up to this fight and made his intentions for Anthony Joshua very clear.

He said: “I aim to knock him out. That’s the programme. That’s the mindset, that’s the intention coming into this fight. I’m going to focus my whole life into destroying it and just being a good destroyer, a good conqueror.

“Don’t wait. Go out there. Smash him.

“Go through them. Go through whatever I have to go through… No retreat, no surrender. And go out there and perform like a warrior.”

Joshua Buatsi on friendship with Anthony Joshua: ‘Fight days aren’t for chatting to each other’

When Joshua Buatsi arrives at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, there will be no seeking out familiar faces – not even a face as familiar as Anthony Joshua’s.

And to Buatsi, Joshua’s face is even more familiar than it is to the average boxing fan. The two Joshuas have been good friends for years, and Saturday will mark the fourth time they have shared a fight card. In 2017 and 2018, Buatsi competed on the undercard of “AJ”’s victories over Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker, at Principality Stadium in Cardiff. In 2019, Buatsi was there at Madison Square Garden to do a job when Joshua, for the first time in his professional career, failed to do his own and lost to Andy Ruiz Jr.

This evening, Buatsi will be there again, facing Willy Hutchinson at Wembley before Joshua headlines against Daniel Dubois, the reigning IBF heavyweight champion.

Anthony Joshua reveals how ‘mouthy’ stranger in pub provoked Daniel Dubois row

Anthony Joshua does not take kindly to being disrespected. At least not anymore. The two-time world heavyweight champion has made that very clear in recent weeks, with the threat of severe repercussions should anyone dare to provoke him.

With a steely focus and deadly serious tone, Joshua vowed to put a chair across his rival Daniel Dubois’ face during a promotional event in June.

The British heavyweights square off in the ring on Saturday night at Wembley Stadium, with a record 96,000 fervent fans hungry for another glorious occasion in British boxing’s golden age – a period in which AJ himself has always been front and centre.

Eddie Hearn has predicted that the pressure of a fight with Anthony Joshua will be too much for Daniel Dubois, and that the younger fighter’s “head will fall off” at Wembley.
