From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Charlie Edwards made the first defence of his WBC flyweight title against Spain's Angel Moreno on an action-packed card at the Copper Box Arena.

The 26-year-old won the belt in stunning fashion from Cristofer Rosales back in December and impressed once more, winning every single round against Moreno in London.

Elsewhere, Lawrence Okolie won the commonwealth belt for a second time with a fourth round knockout of Wadi Camacho, Joshua Buatsi won the British title with an impressive third round stoppage of Liam Conroy and Lewis Ritson returned from his first career defeat with a points win at super-lightweight against German Benitez.

Recap on all the action below.

Round three:

Camacho lands a big left and that must be the heaviest shot Okolie has taken in his professional career! He looks a little bit jelly-legged but clinches on. A warning from the 33-year-old that he is in this contest.

Okolie resumes his distance and tries to use his jab to set up a big right, no success for him in that round though.

Could we have a fight on here?

Isaac Chamberlain really isn't a fan of Okolie, in case you wondered.

ALL OVER! OKOLIE WINS!

Adam Hamdani23 March 2019 20:31

With a minute of the fourth to go, Okolie finishes Camacho, landing a good combination straight down the middle, leading to his opponent taking a knee.

Camacho gets up and Okolie jumps back on him, shakes his opponent and the referee stops it.

Lawrence Okolie retains his British title and adds the commenwealth belt. He moves to 12-0 with nine knockout victories.

In the end, Okolie got it done but this pretty much sums things up.

Lawrence Okolie

"I'm just about content. There was nerves, a lot of talk in the build-up. Not pressure from winning or Wadi but people outside of the ring talking. A wasteman [Isaac Chamberlain] bringing a pillow and that kind of thing.

"I'm doing well, 12-0. For 12 fights I think I'm doing very well. Staying at British level is pointless, if there's a world title I believe in myself. I have self confidence."

Here is that stoppage.

Lawrence Okolie

"I don't care who I fight, Denis Lebedev or whoever. Whenever I hit someone, they go."

To be fair, he's right.

Next fight!

Shannon Courtenay makes her professional debut against Cristina Busuioc.
