The US president, who added that a coronavirus vaccine was “coming, and fast”, made those remarks despite rises in the number of infections across 22 US states, according to Reuters analysis., and the wolrd’s largest death toll.
Elsewhere on Monday, vice president Mike Pence and his would-be successor, Kamala Harris, are making separate visits to Wisconsin, a crucial swing state that was largely neglected by the 2016 Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, as the 2020 campaign enters the homestretch.

Mark Knoller, CBS News White House correspondent, notes: “Usually the North Portico is used to greet foreign leaders arriving for State Dinners. Pres Obama used the North Portico 3 times for the Thanksgiving Turkey Pardon ceremonies.”

Wishes the crowd a happy Labor Day, says that Donald Trump loves the badger state and is “the best friend American workers have ever had”.
Says he stands with Trump when he defends faith, family, and the American flag.
“When he stands up to the radical left and their socialist agenda, I stand with president Donald Trump.”
He adds: “When this president stands up every day and fights for American workers and jobs, jobs jobs — we stand with president Donald Trump.”
