Kate Upton’s spokespeople are investigating claims that naked photographs leaked of her on the internet are the genuine article.

Representatives for the model said they were “looking into” the authenticity of the indecent images.

Upton was one of over 100 names reportedly targeted by a mass hacking made possible by an alleged iCloud leak.

Among others the list includes Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Mary Kate Olsen, Cara Delevingne, Kate Bosworth, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst and Kaley Cuoco.

Ariana Grande’s representatives have since dismissed speculation that naked photographs of her were real.

However, a spokesperson for Jennifer Lawrence said: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”

Celebrity blogger Perez Hilton has apologised for publishing a number of naked images on his website.

“I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn't really think things through. I'm sorry,” he said.
