Your support makes all the difference.Buckingham Palace has confirmed the date and venue for Princess Beatrice’s wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
The royal wedding will take place on Friday 29 May at the Chapel Royal, which is located within the grounds of St James’s Palace in London.
According to a statement released on Friday, the ceremony will be followed by a private reception hosted by the Queen in the gardens of Buckingham Palace.
The couple got engaged in September last year after Mr Mapelli Mozzi proposed during a weekend trip to Italy.
At the time, the Duke and Duchess of York issued a statement announcing the news alongside a photograph of Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi.
The picture showed Princess Beatrice wearing a floral dress while embracing her fiance, who was dressed in a dark navy suit.
In a joint statement, the betrothed couple said: “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
“We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”
Instead of wedding gifts, the couple are requesting that well-wishers learn about two charities close to their hearts.
The charities are Big Change, which supports young people through community projects, and Cricket Builds Hope, which is a Rwanda-based organisation that champions social change through cricket.
The statement added that the couple share “so many similar interests and values”, which they believe will stand them in “great stead for the years ahead”.
A second photograph, showing a close-up of Princess Beatrice’s engagement, was also released with the news of the engagement.
The Chapel Royal is a popular working chapel that has hosted several royal weddings in the past, including that of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert on 10 February 1840.
Prince George was also baptised at the venue in 2013.
