Meghan Markle honoured late Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with her outfit during a recent podcast appearance.

This week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex joined high school students for an episode of  their podcast Teenager Therapy, where they discussed topics such as mental health stigma, self-care and online abuse.

For the occasion, the duchess opted for two items of clothing, a T-shirt and a mask, that paid tribute to the women's rights icon, who died last month at the age of 87.

As noted by Entertainment Tonight, Meghan’s T-shirt was emblazoned with the letters RBG.

According to People, the duchess’s light blue T-shirt comes from the Seattle-based Etsy store FerrisBuilt and retails for $24.95.

The 39-year-old also honoured the Supreme Court justice with her black mask, which had: “When there are nine” embroidered on it, which is in reference to Ginsburg’s iconic response to the question: “When will the Supreme Court have enough women?"

The mask also appears to be from Etsy, according to People, which reports that the face covering is from seller JustPoshStyle and retails for $16. Meghan completed the casual outfit with dark-wash jeans, a black-and-white striped sweater, which she wore draped over her shoulders, and bangle bracelets.

The duchess’s tribute comes after she released a statement last month following Ginsburg’s death in which she reflected on the justice’s “incomparable and indelible legacy”.

“With an incomparable and indelible legacy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg will forever be known as a woman of brilliance, a Justice of courage, and a human of deep conviction. She has been a true inspiration to me since I was a girl. Honour her, remember her, act for her,” she said.
