Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury have broken up after five years together. The formerly engaged couple, who share one child together, were runners-up during season five of Love Island.

On August 14, Hague and Fury each shared their respective statements on Instagram announcing their split. “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way,” Hague wrote on her Instagram Story.

The 25-year-old influencer said she was “extremely upset to announce” the split but maintained that their one-year-old daughter, Bambi, will “always be my priority.”

Hague thanked her fans “for the love you have shown us over the last five years,” adding: “You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.”

Fury, also 25, later made his own statement regarding the split, saying he was “heartbroken” but their daughter Bambi was “our priority.”

The former couple welcomed their daughter in January 2023. Fury proposed to Hague in July last year.

Hague celebrated the one-year anniversary of their engagement

Less than one month ago, Hague paid tribute to the former couple’s engagement anniversary.

She reposted a clip of the special moment, which saw Fury get down on one knee with Bambi by their side, on July 28. In the caption, Hague recalled how Fury pulled off the proposal.

“One year ago today I was tricked into going on a fake brand trip on which the love of my life would ask me to marry him,” she said.

The video also marked her final social media post of Fury before announcing their split.

Hague opened up about ‘solo parenting’ struggles just days before announcing split

Most recently, Hague revealed she’s been “solo parenting” their daughter Bambi as Fury was busy recording audio for his upcoming audiobook.

“He’s done it now, and I’m so proud of him because I know that was a really big deal to him, but I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week,” Hague said in a YouTube vlog posted to her channel just one week ago. “Actually I’ve been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy’s just been so busy.”

She continued: “When he’s home from doing work and stuff, he’s so incredible and so helpful. I can’t say any different. Like, he’s such an incredible dad. But I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum life-ing.”

“I feel like we’re going through a little bit of a challenging phase. Not only with Bambi, but also just with me and trying to juggle a lot,” Hague said.

Hague and Fury share respective social media statements announcing split

Hague and Fury announced they were breaking up after five years together in separate statements shared to social media.

“Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this,” the 25-year-old influencer wrote on her Instagram Story. “After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.”

“I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy’s relationship has come to an end,” she continued. “I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.”

The reality TV star thanked her fans “for the love you have shown us over the last five years,” adding: “You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it’s right to share this with you all.”

While Hague didn’t reveal a reason for their split, she asked her followers to “kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time” as she attempted to “navigate” the break up.

Meanwhile, Fury wrote on his Instagram Story: “I am heartbroken to share that Molly and I have decided to end our relationship.”

“The past five years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi, and I will be forever thanksful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority,” Fury said.

He echoed Hague’s statement by asking for privacy as “we navigate our way through this difficult time.”
