Jenna Bush Hager has claimed she and Hoda Kotb were told to “quiet down” by an elite guest at the US Open over the weekend.

On September 8, the two Today co-anchors joined Savannah Gutherie at the Men’s Singles Final, watching intensely as Jannik Sinner beat Taylor Fritz in a battle for the 2025 title.

During the September 9 taping of their eponymous talk show, Kotb admitted she and Hager were being “loud and annoying” as they watched the two professional athletes face off against each other. And while their chatter was an extension of their enthusiasm amid the intense match, one A-lister seated near them reportedly wasn’t pleased with their level of noise.

“I think Anna Wintour asked us to quiet down,” Hager added, reflecting on their experience as tennis spectators.

The Independent has contacted Anna Wintour’s representatives for a comment.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were among the celebrity attendees who were spotted inside the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Sunday, drinking themed cocktails and dancing in between serves.

Despite recent feud speculation between the Grammy winner and Brittany Mahomes, Swift and Kelce sat with the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife – who’s expecting her third child with the NFL star. What’s more, the “Fifteen” singer was pictured hugging Brittany with a huge smile on her face.

Throughout the past few weeks, the former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model has received an abundance of backlash for liking Donald Trump’s social media post entitled “The 2024 GOP Platform,” outlining 20 items he planned to accomplish if he were elected in the 2025 presidential election.

Brittany has since supposedly removed her like from Trump’s post. However, she later took to her page to shut down criticisms directed towards her.

“I mean honestly, to be a hater as an adult you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood,” she wrote on August 23. “There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well.”

The former US president then proceeded to publicly show gratitude for Brittany’s support. On September 4, Trump published a statement on Truth Social.

“I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country,” his message read.

“With Crime and Illegal Immigration totally out of control, INFLATION Ravaging all Americans, and a World that is laughing at the stupidity of our hapless ‘leaders,’ it is nice to see someone who loves our Country, and wants to save it from DOOM.” To Brittany and Patrick, Trump added: “What a great couple - See you both at the Super Bowl!”

In the aftermath of Brittany’s backlash, fans questioned the future of her friendship with Swift, who previously condemned Trump and shared her endorsement for Joe Biden in the 2020 election.
