Your support makes all the difference.The Wanted's Tom Parker has told fans that his brain tumour has seen a "significant reduction" following treatment.
In a post to Instagram, the former boyband member expressed his joy at the good news he'd received following an MRI scan on Tuesday.
He wrote: "I had an MRI scan on Tuesday and my results today were a significant reduction to the tumour and I am responding well to treatment."
He added: "I can’t thank our wonderful NHS enough. You’re all having a tough time out there but we appreciate the work you are all doing on the front line."
The 32-year-old went on to say that his wife Kelse Hardwich has been his "rock" and he addressed his two children, telling them he fights for them "every second of every day".
Parker is dad to daughter Aurelia, who is 15 months old, and son Bodhi, who was born in October last year, just weeks after the singer was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
He went on to thank his fans for their support: "To everyone on here - your love, light and positivity have inspired me. Every message has not been unnoticed they have given me so much strength.
"This journey is a rollercoaster that’s for sure. Today is a f****** good day".
The singer was diagnosed after having two seizures last summer but had to receive the news alone as his wife was not allowed to accompany him to hospital due to coronavirus restrictions.
The cancer Parker is suffering from is grade four glioblastoma, an aggressive form of tumour which often resists treatment.
The singer first revealed he had cancer in an interview with OK! Magazine. The singer's wife told the magazine Parker didn't ask for a prognosis as he didn't want to "sit here and count down the days and not live his life".
He has been undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy to try to prolong his life.
