The Wanted star Tom Parker has shared his reaction after Max George revealed his baby's birth prematurely on live television.

While George’s heart was in the right place, Parker and his wife Kelsey were hoping to keep the news a secret for a little longer – and were surprised when he gave the game away during an appearance on Lorraine last month.

George, who is a contestant on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, was asked about Parker's health by host Lorraine Kelly. In October, his bandmate was diagnosed with an inoperable and terminal brain tumour.

“Yeah, I spoke to him yesterday and he’s doing good, he’s doing great," George said, adding: “Kelsey gave birth to their second child last week, so, yeah, he’s a fighter, Tom will be alright.”

He then blew a kiss to his friends.

Addressing George's loose lips during the interview, Kelsey told OK! Magazine: “I texted him saying, ‘You’ve got a big mouth!’."

Parker, speaking about the slip up for the first time, said that, while he was watching the interview with Kelsey, they were going, "You k***head."

Speaking about his condition, the singer added: "I’m still in complete shock, it’s so much to take in. I knew something wasn’t right, but I never expected it to be this. You never think this will happen to you."

The Wanted's hits include "Glad You Came" and "Gold Forever".

The couple have named their son Bodhi.
