From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Cara Delevingne has become the first model to star solo in a campaign for high street chain Topshop.

The 21-year-old British model has no shortage of campaigns under her belt with Mulberry, Chanel and Burberry all opting to feature the star in their autumn/winter ads.

In the series of 12 images the model is captured in various poses in key looks for the season.

This latest set of images were shot in London by photographer Alasdair McLellan and styled by the brand's creative director Kate Phelan.

This isn't Cara's first appearance for Topshop, she made her debut in 2010 when she featured in the campaign video for Kate Moss' collection for the store.

She has also repeatedly walked in catwalk shows for Topshop Unique and became the first model to live stream from the runway when last year she carried a Google-cam in her handbag.

"It is fitting to have a fabulous, young British star such as Cara at the epicentre of our campaign. I am hopeful and confident that this will be the beginning of another strong relationship for Topshop" commented Topshop owner Sir Philip Green.

Launching alongside the campaign images is a behind the scenes film from the set of the shoot. The film which shows Cara playing around on set also reveals that it was on this shoot that she met her rabbit Cecil who was intended as a prop.

“Cara is a true Topshop girl. Her style is confident and playful and she can be sophisticated and chic as easily as she can be cool and casual" said creative director Kate Phelan.

"Putting her spin on everything she makes the Topshop collection her own. Her uninhibited natural energy is intoxicating, she is free spirited and fun.”
