From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Autumn has officially arrived – OK maybe not in weather but new season clothing is dropping into stores now, which means an onslaught of advertising campaigns from the very finest in fashion all designed to tempt you to splash the cash.

Fashion houses are certainly not shy when it comes to enlisting famous faces to front their new lines and this season is no exception. Stars from the world of music, film and even reality TV are all set to appear in advertising campaigns in a glossy mag near you.

For menswear there's TV stars in the shape of Game of Thrones' Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Boardwalk Empire's Jimmy (Michael Pitt) and even Homeland's Nicholas Brody (Damian Lewis).

Womenswear has recruited from far and wide with some of world's finest models including Kate Moss and Lara Stone appearing. From further afield there's actresses Winona Ryder and Amy Adams, it-girl Alexa Chung, singer Rita Ora and reality TV's Kendall Jenner.

At Lanvin it's a family affair with model Edie Campbell starring in the campaign alongside her extended family; sister Olympia, grandma Joan, mother Sophie and brother Arthur.
