Developers EA Sports unveiled new game modes, including Volta Football to bring gameplay to the streets. Six teams are available to play with in the demo: Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Liverpool, Paris Saint Germain, Real Madrid and Tottenham.

The demo release – which was only announced yesterday – comes at an unfortunate time for PES (which is called eFootball PES 2020). That game is out today, on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Here's the big features, from developers Konami:
- Finesse Dribble – having enlisted the expertise of legendary midfielder Andrés Iniesta, the game includes a new dynamic dribbling technique
- Matchday – a brand-new mode for this year, Matchday presents weekly events for players to align with one of two clubs and contribute to the overall performance through individual
- Biggest licenses – featuring over 400 teams and over 10,000 players, including Manchester United, FC Bayern and Juventus FC - the latter being completely exclusive to eFootball PES 2020
But almost certainly the biggest news is that the game will have Juventus, and Fifa 20 won't – it'll only have a pretend version, called Piemonte Calcio.
In its announcement, EA Sports did confirm that the game would include two of the main features players are excited about this release: Volta Football, which brings back the beloved FIFA Street-style play, and 11v11 kick-off.
But it did not announce what teams would be available in the demo, or what other modes might be playable.
Rumours circulating online suggest the demo will come out at 3pm UK time.
That would be 4pm central European time,
10am east coast time,
or 11pm in Tokyo.
There is a supposed leak on Reddit that shows the demo will include Liverpool, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City, AS Roma, Atletico Madrid, Club America, LAFC and Vissel Kobe.
But nothing is confirmed. The only thing that is for certain is that there will not be Juventus, since they don't actually exist this year. And it's very unlikely that EA Sports will opt to show off their replacement, fake team, called Piemonte Calcio.
As players wait for the demo to arrive, they're still picking through all of the stats and ratings that were released yesterday. Here's one of those funny little things people have found – a piece that should surely be called The Rise and Fall of Toni Kroos's pace.
If you're wondering why Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing for Piemonte Calcio in Fifa 20, you can read the full story here.
A day ahead of the Fifa 20 demo release, EA released the player ratings for the new game.
Barcelona Legend Lionel Messi pipped Cristiano Ronaldo to the top spot with an overall rating of 94.
The rest of the top 10 included two goalkeepers, three premier league players, and more than a few controversies.
One of these controversies is that somehow Harry Maguire, the world's most-expensive defender, somehow has a lower rating than out-of-favour Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi.
Incidentally, it is another Premier League defender - Virgil Van Dijk - who is the highest-rated defender on Fifa 20. I don't think anyone's arguing with that one.
