In a calamitous few laps for Ferrari, the Italian team threw away a certain one-two finish after Sebastian Vettel broke down and Charles Leclerc dropped from first to third.
Valtteri Bottas followed team-mate Hamilton home at the Sochi Autodrome as Mercedes secured the full quota of points on a day to forget for those dressed in red. Relive all of the drama below.

Qualifying follows the third practice session on Saturday, and should begin at 1pm BST.
What is our prediction?
Mercedes have not lost in Russia since the race was added back on to the Formula 1 calendar in 2014, and Lewis Hamilton will continue that streak this weekend.

Ferrari are chasing four wins in a row today. LeClerc will be looking to get back to the top of the podium having been denied a hat-trick of race wins last week in Singapore.
Vettel and Leclerc are on softs today, and have the straight line speed to leave Mercedes in their wake. Hamilton and Bottas have gambled with the more durable mediums.
Expect plenty of overtaking today.

Ferrari's in one-two! Vettel takes the lead with Leclerc in second! Hamilton third and Sainz a surprise in fourth.

Safety car and Grosjean is out already! He's shaking his head. Ricciardo clipped him going round the bend, the Australian also experiencing some difficulties.

The Ferrari softs paid dividends as Mercedes were left languishing behind Leclerc and the electric Vettel. The German using the slipstream of his teammate to wheel away. Into lap three.
