Trailer For New Michael Schumacher Documentary Released

Verstappen’s triumph, the 17th of his career, was greeted with emphatic celebrations by the 70,000-strong Zandvoort crowd.

Hamilton finished as runner-up, with Valtteri Bottas third in the other Mercedes.

Hamilton, who spent the final third of Sunday’s race complaining about his team’s strategy, now trails Verstappen by three points.

Verstappen claimed a superb victory at the Dutch Grand Prix to knock Hamilton off the top of the championship standings.

Follow all the action and live updates from the Dutch Grand Prix below:

Perez passes Ricciardo as he marches through the field

McLaren have been on the radio to Daniel Ricciardo to tell the Australian, quite abruptly, “Perez is one second behind. We are going to hold him up, Daniel. We are going to hold him up.”

The Australian gives it a go but Perez rotates the car around the outside of turn one and has the grip to make the move stick on exit.

The Mexican then asks his engineer: “Who’s next? Let’s go!”

Hamilton telling fibs?

Lewis Hamilton is now pumping in fastest sectors all over the place as he hunts down Max Verstappen, just a couple of laps after complaining about the state of his tyres.

Now, that could mean he was fibbing when asking for a third stop earlier, or that he’s taking all of the pace out of these mediums now because he indeed planning to pit again and move onto softs for the end of the race.

This is fascinating. We’re on lap 53 of 72.

Tsunoda out of the race

Alpha Tauri’s Yuki Tsunoda has retired from the Grand Prix after bellowing “No power! No power” over the radio.

The Japanese driver showed plenty of promise in Formula 2 last season but it has been a long, long time since he experienced anything other than a mediocre weekend this season.

Perez chasing down the points

Sergio Perez has made his final pit stop of the race and is out a very short distance behind George Russell, before making his third overtake of the afternoon down into the chicane.

The Mexican is now going to the end on these soft tyres and needs to overtake Daniel Ricciardo to make it into the points.

Hamilton needs a third stop

Lewis Hamilton apparently needs a third pit stop.

The world champion is on the radio saying there’s “now way” these tyres will last until the end of the race, and so far he hasn’t been able to make a dent in Max Verstappen’s lead.

McLaren switch Ricciardo and Norris

Lando Norris has now finally pitted and on exit his McLaren team ordered team-mate Daniel Ricciardo out of the way with the young Brit on fresher rubber.

That now puts Norris in 10th, the final points paying position, with Ricciardo 11th.

Red Bull using Ferrari data to help Verstappen

Verstappen has been on the radio to ask about the wisdom of moving onto the hard tyre. “It looks like a good race tyre on the Ferraris” comes the response from his engineer,

The Scuderia put both Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz onto hards when they stopped a few laps ago and are now showing decent pace.

We’re on lap 43 of 72.

Verstappen responds with stop of his own

Red Bull have seen that Mercedes move and responded by bringing in Max Verstappen for a new set of hard tyres, as the Dutchman had used an extra set of mediums earlier in the weekend.

The gap remains about three seconds, with Hamilton having tip-toed his way through the traffic he came out behind.

Hamilton pits again

Lewis Hamilton has made an early second pit stop with Mercedes putting their star man on a second brand new set of medium tyres. He comes out in a bunch of lapped traffic and this may well be an error.

“Why would you put me behind these guys?”, asks Hamilton on the radio.

Vettel suffers spin and almost takes out Bottas

Sebastian Vettel has spun his Aston Martin into turn three, losing the rear of the car after trying to overtake Robert Kubica down the inside of the banking. The German managed to avoid the barriers but has lost a few places.

Valtteri Bottas was lapping both cars at the time and had to slam on the brakes to avoid contact, losing time and potentially damaging his tryes.
