From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Love them or loathe them, the royals undoubtedly have a wide-reaching influence when it comes to fashion.
Luckily for us, it’s not all designer brands, as they often wear high street labels too. From Meghan Markle’s £45 pair of Le Specs sunglasses to the Duchess of Cambridge’s M&S polka dot dress, chances are, if they are spotted wearing it, it will sell out.
Most recently, the Duchess of Cornwall has been spotted wearing a £19 pair of slippers at a recent royal engagement at Wightman Road Mosque in Haringey.
She paired a monochrome outfit of a white shirt and pencil skirt, black tights and a cape coat, together with the faux fur fluffy slip-ons that looked super cosy as she met with members of the local community.
If you’re keen to pick up the pair for yourself or think they’d make a lovely inexpensive gift for someone else, we’ve got all the details on where you can buy them.

Camilla also donned a leopard-print face covering, and while it was reportedly a handmade gift from a member of the public, we’ve found a similar style to shop if you love it just as much as we do.
