Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. The Duchess of Cambridge is well known for her influential wardrobe, with what she wears often selling out within minutes.
Mixing high-end labels and high street pieces, from jewellery to knitwear and even face coverings for royal engagements, Kate Middleton’s fashion even inspires brands, such as M&S, to create dupes of popular pieces, such as a £40 version of an Emilia Wickstead £1,500 polka-dot dress the royal sported at an event in July 2020.
The latest accessory Kate Middleton has been spotted wearing is a Grace Han bag, called the love letter handbag.
The black, leather piece with gold detailing on the straps and buckle and an envelope-style closure has been worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on three separate royal engagements within the last six months, so it certainly has the royal seal of approval.
Created by British Taiwanese designer Grace Han, it’s available not only in black, but a dusty pink, bright red, light blue and mauve. It’s proved so popular that it has doubled sales for the handbag brand.
