Black Friday 2024 live: 25% off Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes plus offers on Samsung
Brands and retailers are kicking off their Black Friday sales early, with deals on Ghd, Ninja and more
With less than two weeks to go until Black Friday’s main event, we’re already seeing hundreds of early deals from major brands and retailers, including Currys, Argos, Boots, Shark and more, so you can start your shopping right away.
Whether you’re looking to stock up on beauty essentials, replace your old laptop, or invest in a new mattress, the team has been compiling the most impressive deals so far on every product category imaginable in our Black Friday shopping guides. But for a real-time stream of discounts and news, our liveblog has you covered.
The Black Friday sales could save you cash on a TV, toys, jewellery and furniture, but the steepest discounts aren’t necessarily the best deals. The most impressive discounts are those on products that are actually worth your money, so we’ll make sure to bring you offers on items we’ve tested ourselves.
So far, Samsung has started its sale, Ghd is offering up to 25 per cent off everything, Oodie has 50 per cent off blanket hoodies and Dyson is offering hundreds of pounds off its products. Elsewhere, you can find bargains at Boots, Currys, Argos, Lookfantastic and more, in what some are calling their biggest Black Friday sale ever.
We’ve been covering the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales for years here at IndyBest, so, we know how to spot a good deal from a dud. If it’s got a decent discount (and it’s worth your money), you’ll find it here.

Here’s £70 off the Shark carpet cleaner
Treat your carpets to a new lease of life with Shark’s deep carpet cleaner – then roll around on your spotless rugs with joy at having grabbed a £70 discount.
Promising an eight-times deeper clean than a regular vacuum – let’s not question Shark’s numbers – the CarpetXpert comes with a tough stain hand tool and a crevice tool.
Shark CarpetXpert deep carpet cleaner EX150UK: Was £249, now £179, Sharkclean.co.uk
We tested a similar version with a built-in stain striker in our round-up of the best carpet cleaners, in which our reviewer said the device made a “massive difference in the colour and texture of carpets”, providing “powerful suction” that meant our carpets dried quickly. For Black Friday, the EX150UK model is reduced by nearly 30 per cent.
Black Friday starts early at Debenhams
Debenhams’ Black Friday sale is already in full swing, seeing discounts of up to 70 per cent across the retailer’s wide range of clothing, furniture, shoes, beauty and more.

Are there any Xbox Series X deals yet?
We’re on the lookout for some genuinely good discounts on the Xbox Series X and other gaming deals this Black Friday.
So far, the best we’ve found is this £20 saving at Amazon (which is far from the cheapest we’ve seen Microsoft’s console selling for).
Xbox Series X: Was £479.99, now £456.99, Amazon.co.uk
The Xbox Series X is the most powerful gaming console Microsoft makes. Large and cuboid but completely silent, it matches the performance of a high-end gaming PC – loading games in a snap and booting up menus in a fraction of a second.
I re-reviewed the Xbox Series X earlier this year, when I called it “a thunderously powerful next-generation console, with a brilliant games-on-demand service”.
Get £400 off the Bolzano sofa at BoConcept
Let’s leave the tech world aside to focus on some Black Friday deals for the home.
My colleague Ella has been hunting down the best sofa deals to shop this Black Friday, and has found this £400 saving on this 2.5-seater at BoConcept.
BoConcept bolzano 2.5-seater: Was £1,899, now £1,499, Boconcept.com
Created by Danish designer Morten Georgsen, this sofa is said to be as comfortable as it is chic, thanks to a superior foam-to-frame ratio. Even better, it now comes with 25 per cent off the price tag.
Get three months of Audible for £2.97 this Black Friday
Audible is currently 99p per month for three months for Amazon Prime subscribers who’ve never had Audible before (or haven’t been a member in the past 12 months).
Audible, three month subscription: Was £7.99 per month, now 99p per month, Amazon.co.uk
The audiobook streaming service lets you listen to thousands of select Audible Originals, podcasts and audiobooks. Once your trial period comes to an end, you’ll start getting charged £7.99 per month, which gets you a credit for one audiobook per month on top of the included content mentioned above. The offer ends on 21 January 2025, so, you’ve still got plenty of time to subscribe, even after Black Friday ends.

Get the iPhone 16 Pro with 500GB of data for £39.99 per month
My IndyBest colleague, Lucy, just spotted this great deal on the iPhone 16 Pro at iD Mobile.
iPhone 16 Pro with 500GB: £39.99 per month, £149 up front, Carphonewarehouse.com
The 500GB plan (upgraded from 100GB for Black Friday) has you paying £149 up front and then £39.99 per month. That’s a total of £1,108 over the course of the 24 month plan (mid-contract price bumps not included). The phone costs £999, which means you’re paying a mere £4.57 per month for a 500GB plan.
Our tester called the latest iPhone “evolutionary not revolutionary” in their iPhone 16 Pro review, thanks in part to the delayed rollout of Apple Intelligence features.
These are the best Black Friday deals at Amazon
Amazon’s Black Friday sale officially starts on 21 November and will run until 2 December, but there are plenty of early deals to be found right now.
Finding the best discounts at the online retailer can be a challenge, considering Amazon sells everything from Le Creuset dishes and portable bluetooth speakers to dishwasher tablets and Ring video doorbells. All that on top of Amazon’s own range of devices, which includes smart speakers and televisions.
Helpfully, we’ve taken the legwork out of shopping Black Friday deals at Amazon with our expert-led round-up of curated discounts. We’re always updating our guides as new deals arrive, so go take a look.

Here’s £20 off the iPhone 16 at Giffgaff
The iPhone 16 is £799 at most retailers, so this £50 Black Friday deal at Giffgaff is actually a £20 saving over the usual price.
That might not seem like much, but deals on the newest iPhone are rare and sell out fast. You’ll need to buy a £10 plan with Giffgaff to take advantage of the offer, but depending on the plan you choose you can cancel or change as soon as you’ve paid.
iPhone 16: Was £829, now £779, giffgaff.com
Unlike the base iPhone 15, which used the chip from the older iPhone 14 Pro, this year’s base iPhone 16 gets the same chip as this year’s Pro editions, giving it speedy all-round performance. In our iPhone 16 review, our tester praised the upgrade. “Many innovations are coming to both phones at the same time: the new camera control; the ability to run Apple Intelligence; the new, improved tougher front and faster wireless charging”.
Get the Pixel 8 Pro for just £499
The Pixel 8 Pro has a massive 50 per cent off in Amazon’s early Black Friday sale, taking the price of the best Android phone of last year down to just £499.
Google Pixel 8 Pro: Was £999, now £499, Amazon.co.uk
The newer Pixel 9 launched back in September, adding fresh AI features, but the 2023 flagship is still highly recommended and an absolute bargain at this price. In my Pixel 8 Pro review, I was impressed by the phone’s “brighter screen, improved camera hardware and whole new set of impressive photo-editing features powered by Google AI”.
