The 2024 Emmys took place on Sunday (September 15) night, with controversial Netflix show Baby Reindeer, kitchen drama The Bear and historical Japan-set series Shōgun all winning big.
The three-hour ceremony took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The broadcast is now available to watch on Hulu.
This year’s event was hosted for the first time by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, who co-created and starred in the hit series Schitt’s Creek.
“We’re going to keep it light and bright,” Dan Levy told the Los Angeles Times, while his father added: “You’re setting a tone, and it’s our tone. It is what it is.
“It’s kind of tricky when you’re in the weeds, but ultimately we have to be ourselves and go with what we think is funny.”
Awards presenters will included Hollywood legend and Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke, 97, along with Allison Janney, Martin Sheen, Matt Bomer, Lily Gladstone and Kristen Wiig.

Kathy Bates clarifies retirement comments
No, Kathy Bates is not retiring.
“No plans,” she assured fans during the E! preshow. “No, I think it was misunderstood.”
In a new interview with The New York Times published last week, Bates said of starring in the new Matlock reboot: “This is my last dance.”
On the Emmys carpet, Bates told E! “Because I had one foot out the door before I read Jennie Urman’s script [for Matlock] and I was like, ‘Ah okay, now we’re talking.’ And now I want the show to run for years and years.”

Jodie Foster says she ‘changed’ ‘True Detective’ character
Jodie Foster, nominated for an Emmy Award for the first time tonight, spoke on the red carpet about how she “changed” her True Detective: Night Country character.
“The whole thing was a blast. I couldn’t have been a happier camper,” she said of the seven-month shoot in Iceland.
“We kind of changed the character, made her a little tougher, a little meaner, a little more awful,” she added of her police chief Liz Danvers.
“First time I’ve been nominated for an Emmy for acting so it’s a big deal.”
It should be noted that she has won two Oscars, three BAFTAs, and three Golden Globes – so the award cabinet isn’t looking too bare.
