The 16-year-old from Essex sang against Andrea in the sing-off after Fleur East and Ben Haenow were saved by the public vote.
Lauren performed Faith Hill’s love ballad “There You’ll Be”, while Andrea put his own spin on Jessie J’s “Who You Are”.
Cheryl Fernandez-Versini chose to keep her act Lauren Platt, with Mel B saving Andrea, despite telling Lauren she had “peaked” tonight.
Louis Walsh chose to save Andrea and send home Lauren, leaving Simon Cowell to make the casting vote.
Simon sent Lauren home, saying he chose to save the person who "most deserved their place in the final".
More than 4 million votes were cast in this week’s elimination, the highest number so far this series.
Sunday night’s X Factor results show saw two performances from across the pond as former X Factor US winners Fifth Harmony took to the stage, as well as a special performance from Frozen singer Idina Menzel and Michael Buble.
Last year’s winner Sam Bailey also returned to the X Factor stage to perform her debut single after a year away from the limelight.
