From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have shared their anger after the outcome of Sunday (29 November) night’s results show leaked ahead of time.

Strictly’s weekly results show is pre-recorded after the live show on Saturday night, with the identity of the eliminated celebrity not being announced until Sunday.

However, the results occasionally leak online, with fans this week sharing their frustration after stumbling upon the spoiler on social media.

“Just saw the Strictly spoiler, I hate it here,” one viewer tweeted.

“If the #Strictly spoiler is true we riot at 7.25pm,” another commented.

“The Strictly spoiler [crying emoji],” one fan tweeted, with another echoing: “Just saw the Strictly spoiler, maybe I’m going to cry.”

HRVY and Janette Manrara topped the leaderboard on Saturday night after scoring the first 30 of the season for their Street/Commercial routine to Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars”.

At the bottom of the leaderboard were Clara Amfo and Aljaž Škorjanec, whose Jive routine contained a number of unfortunate mistakes.

“This week actually is your dance, it just went horribly wrong sadly,” judge Craig Revel Horwood told the pair.

Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight at 7.25pm on BBC One.
