Naya Rivera’s mother has been seen falling to her knees at the site of her daughter’s disappearance, as authorities continue to search for the Glee star’s body.

Rivera is feared to have drowned after she rented a pontoon boat on Wednesday (8 July) with her son Josey, and failed to return to shore. Josey, four, was found alone and asleep on the boat.

On Saturday (11 July), members of Rivera’s family, including her mother Yolanda, father George and brother Mychal, all visited Lake Piru, the scene of Rivera’s disappearance.

Yolanda was seen sitting on the dock of the lake with her arms outstretched, while George ventured ankle-deep into the water.

According to TMZ, Ventura County deputies are continuing to search for Rivera’s body, using a remotely operated vehicle to find objects beneath the water.

Divers, dogs and side-scan sonar are also being deployed in the search, which is encountering difficulties due to the amount of debris in the water.

TMZ also reports that authorities are uncertain about where Rivera was located in the water when she vanished.

They have, however, declared that there is “little to no evidence” that Rivera made it back to shore.

Rivera rose to fame as cheerleader Santana Lopez on the hit musical series Glee. Many of her former co-stars, including Demi Lovato and Heather Morris, have used social media to pray for her safety.
