Marvel suffers blow as ABC cancels Agent Carter and passes up Agents of SHIELD spin-off

Your support makes all the difference.With its cinematic universe in no danger of failing, Marvel's television venture has suffered a fatal blow with US network ABC delivering the axe to Agent Carter.
The spin-off, headed by Captain America character Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell), began in 2015 and saw two seasons, the last of which finished airing in March.
It marked the second of the studio's television dramas following Agents of SHIELD which is currently in its third season.
Unfortunately, the ratings never backed up the critical acclaim heaped upon the period series, set in the mid-Forties.
The Hollywood Reporter has also revealed that plans to develop an Agents of SHIELD spin-off (that's right - a spin-off of the spin-off) have been shelved by ABC.
Titled Marvel's Most Wanted, the series would have focused on fan favourites Bobbi Morse - AKA Mockingbird - and Lance Hunter who are played by Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood in ABC's sole surviving Marvel series.
It's another story over on Netflix which has Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Standalone outings for characters Luke Cage and Iron Fist are also on their way with the four teaming up in Avengers-style series, The Defenders.
