Wow, we have to say that tonight's episode of Love Island was what could be described as a 'vintage episode'. It had new girls. It had tears. It had cheese and mayonnaise sandwiches. What more could you want?
The episode kicked off by focusing on the repercussions of a rather strange drama. Last night’s outing saw the formation of relationships as Curtis asked Amy whether she wanted to become official. Joe followed suit hours later, asking Lucie the same thing – much to the ire of Amy.
“It’s like they’ve stolen our thunder,” she said, berating Joe and Lucie for swanning about the villa in glee.
Excitingly, two new female contestants were also thrown into the mix, leaving the current girls less than impressed. Let the chaos ensue.
Curtis and Amy have a lovers' tiff
Curtis and Amy have established themselves as a steady couple in the villa, and Curtis even announced that Amy is now his 'half girlfriend', in the hot tub during a steamy getaway in the Hideaway last night. However, the happy couple are on the rocks already after Pritchard accused his new-found love of attention seeking. The former air hostess was unimpressed that Lucie and Joe had decided to announce that they're exclusive on the same day. Cue the waterworks.
Anna says she misses Sherif after shock departure
Anna Vakili broke her silence over the shock departure of Sherif from the villa in last night's episode. The semi-professional rugby player's exit was announced Tuesday, and Anna, who was coupled with Sherif, said "I'm going to miss him." Earlier on Wednesday, Sherif broke his silence over his departure from the villa, although he still hasn't revealed why he was booted out.
Two new girls have entered the villa, and Tommy's taken with Maura
Tonight, two new ladies have entered the villa. There's Maura Higgins, a 28-year-old model and grid girl from County Longford, Ireland, who doesn't strike us as the shy and retiring type. Alongside her, there's also Elma Pazar, a 26-year-old eyelash technician from Essex, who has some high-profile clients including the cast of Towie. The ladies have caught the eye of the gentlemen of the villa, with Tommy barely able to keep his eyes off Maura. After his date with the model came to an end, he appeared smitten, later telling Anton: ‘I could look into those eyes all day.’ Well, only time will tell, Tommy, only time will tell.
Tommy presented the girls with a cheese and mayonnaise sandwich
In order to woo the two new ladies, the men of the villa were asked to cook them a three-course meal. It goes without saying that this was going to be a particularly difficult challenge for Tommy Fury, who has previously revealed on the show that he can't even make a peppermint tea or an omelette. So, what did he choose to present model Maura with? A cheese sandwich, with some ketchup and mayonnaise squirted onto it. Yep, Love Island has officially peaked.

Love Island continues nightly – bar Saturdays – at 9pm on ITV2.
*New girls alert!* The boys are getting excited, it's happening! Two new girls are about to enter the villa, and in order to woo them, the boys have to cook them a three-course meal. This will be particularly difficult for Tommy, who couldn't even manage to make a peppermint tea the other day. We can't wait for this!
The boys are suited and booted ready for the new ladies about to enter the villa. And yes, they're cutting love hearts from pieces of cheese. It's all about to kick off, and we can't wait.
Hold the front page! The new girls have arrived in the villa, and it goes without saying that the current contingent of ladies are less than impressed. The boys, on the other hand, are extremely impressed. Tommy can barely hide his excitement behind a... cheese sandwich. Keep cramming them in, Tommy!
Quote of the episode: "F*** and then a chuck." Move over "It is what it is", you've been well and truly replaced.
And that's a wrap! Oh, the drama. We're already hyped for tomorrow night's episode.
