Love Island: Eyal and Megan's first kiss

Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Love Island continued tonight as viewers saw the fallout of the reality series' surprise arrival of three new contestants that made good on its promise to shake things up.

The dissolution of Hayley and Eyal is a distant memory following the arrival of Megan who, despite expressing initial interest in a rather excited Dr Alex, ended up smooching Eyal on their first date together.

Samira, who had gone a full week without a date, got not one but two tonight as she got to know Josh and Charlie a little better despite reserving her interest for the latter as it emerged they have previous chatting on dating apps before the series began.

This wasn't bad news for Josh who has his eye on Hayley - but not before rubbing Wes up the wrong way by selecting Laura as his first date. It seems the game is never far from any of these contestants' minds

Slowly but surely, the fourth series is taking shape.

You can follow along with our reaction LIVE below.

Love Island continues weekday nights on ITV2 at 9pm.

Exactly my thoughts minus the Wes bit

No 'Aftersun' with Caroline Flack tonight so you can actually feel like you have a life. Go and do something productive like read a book. Or walk round the block... Or do what I'm doing and stay in your seat and watch three Family Guy episodes in a row

WE KNOW ITV2 STOP RUBBING IT IN

Not sure if I'm more excited to find out what Adam did or to see that dude get his damn comeuppance. Probably both

Okay, this made me laugh. This is a good tweet
