Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams to make special guest appearance in Doctor Who
The 18-year-old actress will swap fantasy for sci-fi this autumn

The young British actress will make a guest appearance in the next series of the sci-fi fan favourite when it returns to our screens this autumn.
Lead writer and executive producer Steven Moffat said he could not give away too much information about who Williams will play, but added “she is going to challenge the Doctor in very unexpected ways".
Williams, who is currently filming scenes on set in Cardiff, said: “I'm so excited to be working on Doctor Who as it’s such a big and important part of British Culture. I can’t wait to meet the cast and crew and start filming, especially as we’ll be shooting not too far from my home town.”
Comedian and actor Rufus Hound, who recently appeared in the series Cucumber, also joins the guest cast alongside BBC Three’s Siblings and CBBC’s Horrible Histories star Tom Stourton, Ariyon Bakare, Simon Lipkin, Ian Conningham, Murray McArthur, Barnaby Kay, John Voce, and Struan Rodger.
Williams will appear on TV screens again on 12 April when her character Arya Stark makes a return in Game of Thrones series five.
She also stars as one of the leads in the upcoming film The Falling, a period drama about a fainting spell that affects an all-girls school in the Sixties.
