Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Another year, another batch of people you may vaguely recognise enter a house filled with cameras live-streaming everything to the public. Yes, ‘Celebrity’ Big Brother is back.
Well, it’s not actually back just yet. Tonight (28 July), the first episode will air and already bookies think they know who is going to be crowned victor.
According to Ladbrokes, Christopher Biggins is the favourite to win, with odds of 3/1, closely followed by Marnie Simpson (9/2) and Ricky Norwood (6/1).
If, like myself, you’re unfamiliar with who these ‘famous’ people are, feel free to flick through our gallery below of everyone entering this year’s Big Brother house.
Previously discussing his entry into the Big Brother House, Biggins told Native Manchester: “Ever since I’m A Celebrity, I’ve been offered so many reality TV shows. I’ve been in a few but, with age, you get much better at turning things down.
“However, the one that is getting harder to say no to is Celebrity Big Brother because they just offer you so much money. They ask me each year.”
Perhaps they upped their offer this year? Who can say. CBB begins at 9pm on Channel 5. The full odds, via Metro, are below.

Marnie Simpson 9/2
