Celebrity Big Brother 2016: How many can you recognise?

Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Another year, another batch of celebrities (?) heading into the Big Brother house.

Yes, this Thursday (28 July) sees the return of Celebrity Big Brother and the contestants competing to retain as much of their dignity as possible this time around have seemingly been exclusively revealed by The Sun.

How many of the below faces do you recognise? One point if you can guess the person's name - award yourself a second if you actually know what they're famous for.

Leading the charge as easily the most recognisable face is former I'm a Celebrity... winner Christopher Biggins, who will become one of the highest paid contestants having reportedly accepted £150,000 to enter the house.

Elsewhere, Page 3 icon Sam Fox, Absolutely Fabulous actor-comedian Helen Lederer and Grant Bovey - ex-husband of former contestant Anthea Turner - will also be entering the compound. That's right - the ex-husband of Anthea Turner. On prime-time television.

The US contestants will consist of Beth Chapman - the wife of popular TV personality Dog the Bounty Hunter - Broadway actor Freddie Grande, Mob Wives star Renee Graziano and former pop star Aubrey O'Day who famously clashed with Sean "Diddy" Combs on reality series Making the Band.

Of course, this wouldn't be the Channel 5 reality series without the usual crop of younger faces from the world of 'scripted reality' television. This year sees the turn of The Only Way Is Essex's Lewis Bloor, Stephen Bear (Ex on the Beach) and Marnie Simpson - the latter of whom is hoping to become the third Geordie Shore star to win following past success for Charlotte Crosby and reigning champ Scotty T.

Former X Factor reject Chloe Khan (then known as Chloe Mafia) and finalist Katie Waissel complete the line-up.

Sadly, it seems YouTube sensation Ronnie Pickering won't be entering after being rumoured earlier on this year.

Channel 5 aired the Big Brother finale last night, the winner of which has caused controversy online. Celebrity Big Brother begins at 9pm on Thursday.
