Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Good news! You won't have to wait to see Better Call Saul in the UK and worldwide or else frantically search for a watch online link, as the Breaking Bad spin-off is coming to Netflix just a few hours after it goes out on AMC in the US.
The first two episodes will be available on Monday 9 February and Tuesday 10 February before settling into a Tuesday slot for the following weeks. Each episode will go live at 7am UK time.
There are 10 episodes in the first season, with a second having been commissioned and writing already underway on it.
Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks are back as Saul Goodman and Mike Ehrmantraut, with several relative unknown actors joining the show including Michael Mando and Rhea Seehorn.
The show premieres with a double bill in the US on 8 February.
Initial reviews of the first few episodes have been very strong, claiming that the show is successful in carving a new identity for itself in terms of tone and aesthetic rather than just trading off the successful style of Breaking Bad.
