Your support makes all the difference.After being Disney’s sweetheart for years, Miley Cyrus' more recent image has been that of controversy and wildness.
However, despite the appeal of the unusual, her record label have warned her against making an album “too weird”, most likely in response to her incredibly strange collaboration with Flaming Lips on their Beatles tribute album.
"They're like, 'Don't make it too weird, don't make it avant-garde; you can't go from Miley to Björk!'" she told Paper magazine.
The Bangerz singer went on to say that she’s almost exclusively listening to Flaming Lips while recording her latest album, and said of the writing process "I don't have to have writers, I don't have to have f**kin' producers in there. Mike Will will text me a beat, and I'll go in my studio and work on it by myself."
In the same interview Cyrus spoke about her sexuality, revealing that she told her mother aged 14 that she was equally attracted to girls as well as men.
"I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn't involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that's legal, I'm down with.”
The singer is currently promoting a new initiative, the Happy Hippie Foundation, aimed at raising awareness for homeless and LGBT young people.
