Your support makes all the difference.50 Cent has claimed that Lil Wayne was paid to publicly endorse Donald Trump in the run up to the US election.
Wayne faced backlash after sharing a smiling picture with the US president in the week prior to the election, in which he was seen giving a thumbs up alongside Trump.
Appearing on The Breakfast Club radio show, 50 – who also briefly endorsed Trump before backtracking – was asked whether he thought Wayne “got a cheque” to share his picture with Trump on social media.
“Yeah, I’m sure,” the rapper said. “Easily he got paid. He had the sweater and the picture.”
However, 50 denied that he was himself ever paid for sharing his initial support of Trump.
The Independent has contacted Lil Wayne’s representatives for comment.

At the time, 50 criticised Wayne for sharing the picture days after he had withdrawn his own endorsement of the Republican candidate, claiming that he “never liked” Trump.
“Oh no, Wayne,” 50 tweeted, adding a head-in-hands emoji. “I would have never took this picture.”
