Your support makes all the difference.50 Cent has caused uproar among his fans after endorsing Donald Trump in the 2020 US presidential race.
The “In Da Club” rapper said that, although he believes the president "doesn't like black people", he will vote for Trump at the forthcoming election.
He made the claim on Instagram while sharing a screenshot from CNBC regarding an apparent tax raise if Joe Biden wins the presidency.
The image, widely believed to be misleading, suggests that high earners in New York will be taxed 62 per cent of their wages.
“WHAT THE F***! (VOTE ForTRUMP) IM OUT. F*** NEW YORK The KNICKS never win anyway,” 50 Cent wrote.
He added: “I don’t care Trump doesn’t like black people. 62 per cent, are you out of ya f***ing mind.”
“50 Cent endorsing Trump for president is probably the least surprising news of 2020, ”one person wrote on Twitter.
Another person called him “self-interested”, adding: “He does not care that Joe Biden’s tax plan benefits all Americans making under $400,000 a year, which is about 95 per cent of the population.
“50 Cent cares about himself, not every day people. He just wants their money.”
Last week, Ice Cube was forced to defend himself from a backlash after it emerged that he was working with the Trump campaign.
The rapper and actor is helping to develop the president’s Platinum Plan, a four-year programme aiming to help create three million new jobs for African-Americans.
He stated that he was “contacted” by “both parties” due to his initiative, Contract With Black America, but claimed Trump’s campaign showed more interest.
