Kanye West’s forthcoming album Donda 2 has failed to materialise on schedule.

The controversial rapper threw a listening party for the sequel to his 10th album, 2021’s Donda, on Tuesday night (22 February) at the LoanDepot Park in Miami.

He was joined by a number of guests, including rapper Jack Harlow, Pusha T, Alicia Keys and Migos.

Elon Musk was also spotted attending the event.

Accused rapist Marilyn Manson was present for a rendition of “Jail 2” from Donda, which also features embattled rapper DaBaby.

Manson, real name Brian Warner, has been accused of rape, assault, and physical and psychological abuse by multiple women.

Manson has vehemently denied all of the allegations against him.

The playback of West’s new album also reveals that he namedrops his estranged wife, Kim Kardashian, on at least two tracks, as well as taking swipes at her new boyfriend, SNL star Pete Davidson.

Kanye West criticised for bringing out accused rapist Marilyn Manson

While West’s stunt – bringing out accused rapist Marilyn Manson for his Donda 2 party – had less of the shock factor of his Donda event last year, many are still outraged.

“Kanye championing sick ass disgusting ass Marilyn Manson to prove some arrogant point about cancel culture is really just one of the reasons I can’t root for him anymore,” wrote non-binary rapper DijahB.

“Kanye brought out Marilyn Manson & the sound man immediately started sabotaging the entire DONDA 2 event,” one fan observed, referring to the multiple sound issues affecting the event.

“Marilyn Manson came out n the mic stopped working....curious? learn your lesson Kanye,” another said.

Manson, real name Brian Warner, is accused of rape, sexual and physical assault, and abuse by multiple women. He denies all of the allegations made against him.

Kanye West fans react to live Donda 2 album party

Fans had mixed reactions to Kanye West’s listening party for Donda 2.

While his “Donda Experience Performance” event at the LoanDepot Park in Miami attracted thousands to the venue as well as to the livestream, many complained about the sound issues affecting the performance.

During a rendition of “Jail 2”, for which West brought out accused rapist Marilyn Manson, there was a noticeable glitch in the mic audio, to which Ye responded by throwing his mic on the ground.

Soon after that moment, fans started creating memes about it on social media.

Kanye West took another swipe at his estranged wife Kim Kardashian’s new boyfriend Pete Davidson during the Donda 2 party.

After a rendition of “Eazy”, on which he raps: “God saved me from that crash/ Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s ass (Who?)”, he went into new track “Security”, which seemed to address reports that the SNL star beefed up his security amid West’s frequent outbursts against him on social media.

The new track’s lyrics read, via Genius:

Pop song, I ain’t getting frisked I put your security at risk Pop song, I ain’t getting frisked I put your security at risk I put the security at risk Okay, we gon’ make this an event Y’all gon need security for this

First trailer released for Evan Rachel Wood’s documentary about Marilyn Manson allegations

“I’m here today to talk about Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson,” Wood can be heard saying in the newly-released trailer.

Wood met Manson in 2005 when she was 18 and Manson was 38. The two were engaged in 2010, but called off their relationship a few months later.

Manson has denied all of the allegations against him.

The trailer dropped ahead of Kanye West’s listening party in Miami for Donda 2, where he invited Manson onstage with him.

Kanye takes another swipe at Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson

Kanye West makes at least two separate references to estranged wife Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend Pete Davidson in his new album Donda 2.

The rapper – now known as Ye – threw a listening party for the sequel to his 10th album Donda at Miami’s Loan Depot Park on Tuesday (22 February).

He was joined by a number of guests, including rapper Jack Harlow, Pusha T, Alicia Keys and Migos.

Accused rapist Marilyn Manson was present for a rendition of “Jail 2” from Donda, which also features embattled rapper DaBaby.

Now, two of West’s songs from the new album – “Security” and “Eazy” – have come under scrutiny for appearing to take digs at Saturday Night Live comedian Davidson.

While everyone’s waiting for Donda 2 to drop, maybe have a read of what I had to say about its predecessor...

‘There are brief glimpses of the ingenuity that propelled genre-defying, era-defining works such as 2007’s Graduation or 2010’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Mike Dean, a longtime West collaborator and one of the finest beatmakers in the game (who appeared close to quitting the project earlier this month), deploys a murky drum patter on “Remote Control”. Piano notes dart out like dolphins on the crests of a Hans Zimmer-indebted synth line on “Come to Life”. But these resplendent moments – like a second’s burst of sunshine through dark storm clouds – are so rare that by the time you emerge on the other side, they’re all but forgotten.’

Kanye West lashed out at mother-in-law’s ‘godless’ partner

Kanye West hit out on social media at his mother-in-law Kris Jenner’s partner, Corey Gamble, earlier this month

The rapper has attracted criticism for his activity on Instagram in recent weeks after sharing numerous posts about his estranged wife Kim Kardashian, and her new boyfriend, the comedian Pete Davidson.

On Saturday (19 February), West, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, shared a post about Gamble, in which he described the business executive and talent manager as “Godless” and “not a great person”.

Kanye West takes another swipe at Pete Davidson on Donda 2: ‘I put your security at risk’

Pete Davidson began dating Kardashian in October last year and has been at the receiving end of near-constant social media attacks from Kanye.

Seemingly directed at the 28-year-old, the lyrics of the rapper’s new track “Security” threaten to put Davidson’s “security at risk” because it’s inexcusable to the rapper for anyone to “stand between a man and his kids”.

Kardashian filed for divorce from West earlier in 2021, and the couple share four children – North, Saint, Psalm, and Chicago.

Since Kardashian filed to divorce him, West has made multiple appeals to the beauty mogul to reunite their family – including publicly asking him to “run back” to him at the Free Larry Hoover Benefit in Los Angeles last year.

Right before he played “Security”, West performed to “Eazy” which includes a much more direct threat towards Davidson, 28, who joined Instagram amid this ongoing feud.
