From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Cast your minds back to two years ago when news of a collaboration between Kanye West and Miley Cyrus landed.

Well, it's finally arrived in the form of a remixed version of West's track "Black Skinhead".

The remix was leaked online and is as odd as you'd expect a team-up of the industry's two most controversial musicians to be.

Despite being seemingly unfinished, the collaboration heavily samples Tears for Fears song "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" which Cyrus intermittently breaks into throughout.

You know you want to listen.

The source of the leak is unconfirmed. Recorded in 2013, rumours suggest that it was held back after Cyrus' infamous twerking antics at the MTV Video Music Awards.

"Black Skinhead" featured on West's album Yeezus; his follow-up SWISH will be released on 11 February.

In the run-up to release, West will be releasing a new track every Friday with the latest - "No More Parties in LA" - featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar.
