Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

In just two months, Worthy Farm will be transformed into a festival site with the return of Glastonbury this summer.

While the large majority of tickets were sold in November, music fans had another chance to secure their place at this year’s event with a “very limited number” of tickets on sale this week.

The first batch of resale tickets, which included coach travel, were sold on Thursday (20 April). The second and final portion of resale tickets – not including travel – were available for purchase at 9am today (Sunday 23 April).

It took less than six minutes, however, for all of the tickets to be sold, leaving many disappointed music fans airing their grievances with the ticketing system on social media.

Now in its 51st year, Glastonbury 2023 is due to take place in Somerset between Wednesday and Sunday, 21 – 25 June.

Arctic Monkeys, Elton John, and Guns N’ Roses are among the artists to have been confirmed by co-organiser Emily Eavis, who also addressed the controversy surrounding the all-male headliners.

What time does the resale begin?

The last chance to secure Glastonbury tickets begins at 9am. All tickets can be purchased here when they go on sale in 34 minutes...

What tickets are available to purchase today and for how much?

Today’s resale will be general admission tickets – without travel included.

Tickets cost £335 + £5 booking fee per person.

Heads up: Unlike with the original sale, attendees must pay the full ticket price in full when prompted, not just a deposit. Those successful in the ticket resale will not be required to pay at the time of placing a booking request. An email confirming the booking request will be sent within 3 hours with information on how to complete payment and finalise the booking. This will not be the deposit as in previous sales, but the full amount.

Am I eligible to purchase a ticket during today’s resale?

Anyone hoping to nab a ticket during today’s final resale will have had to already registered by 17 April in order to obtain your registration number.

Those who are already registered – whether from November’s sale or previous years – can use their existing registration numbers.

Unfortunately, if you do not already have a registration number then you cannot purchase tickets during this morning’s resale.

This is the second (and final) resale...

The Glastonbury resale takes place in two rounds. The first batch of resale tickets were sold on Thursday (20 April).

These were the tickets of people who got through in the original sale, but did not pay the balance on their tickets earlier in April.

Today’s resale will be for the remaining tickets (without travel).
