The singer took to Instagram on Friday (16 April) to answer several commonly asked questions by fans.
“The next question is, am I okay?" Spears said in the video. “Yes, I’m totally fine. I’m extremely happy. I have a beautiful home, beautiful children. I’m taking a break right now because I’m enjoying myself.”
Fans have been concerned for the star after the release of the documentary Framing Britney Spears, which shed new light on how the singer was treated in the media as she rose to fame in the late 1990s and became a mega-star in the ensuing years.
The documentary also inspired a mainstream discussion around how Spears’s life has been controlled by a court-ordered conservatorship since 2008.
The controversy around the conservatorship has been exacerbated by a fan movement, known as #FreeBritney, which has campaigned to have the order removed.
Another question Spears answered in the video is whether she gets dizzy from doing twirls in her dance videos. “Yes, I get extremely dizzy,” she said. “But I’m a dancer, so as long as I have a focus for my head as I turn, as long as I keep finding that spot, usually in the end it’s not as bad.”
Spears recently said she was “flattered” that the world is “concerned with [her] life”.
