Your support makes all the difference.Bronchitis may have stopped Rihanna from performing at the Grammys but she was back on full form for a raunchy live show at the Brit Awards on Wednesday night.
The “Work” singer brought out Canadian rapper Drake as a surprise guest for her rendition of their latest chart-topping hit.
Rihanna kicked off the performance dressed in white tasseled trousers and sunglasses as red and blue lights crisscrossed over her. She was soon joined by a troupe of black-clad, twerking backing dancers before Drake came out to cheers for his verse. Cue plenty of sexy moves, including the ‘dutty whine’, that left many in the audience decidedly hot under the collar.
The duo released the seven-minute, two-part music video for “Work” earlier this week. The first half sees Rihanna and Drake hit the dance floor in a Caribbean restaurant before getting more intimate in the club’s VIP area during the second half.
“Work” earned Rihanna her 14th US number one single, pushing her past Michael Jackson for the third-most US number ones of all-time.
Elsewhere at the Brits, Adele was the night’s big winner with four gongs, while Justin Bieber, Coldplay and James May also left with awards.
